FFL specific policy
This policy governs all firearms received by this Federal Firearms Licensee (“FFL”) for transfer, storage, or handling on behalf of any customer, transferee, or purchaser.
By arranging for shipment of a firearm to this FFL, initiating a transfer, or otherwise engaging services, the customer agrees to the terms outlined below.
1. Transfer Requirements
All firearm transfers are subject to compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including completion of required forms and background checks.
The transferee must:
Appear in person (if required by law)
Provide valid identification
Complete all required documentation
Successfully pass any required background check
Failure to complete any required step will delay or prevent transfer.
2. Notification of Arrival
The FFL will make reasonable efforts to notify the transferee when a firearm is received. Notification may include phone call, text message, email, or other contact method provided by the customer.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that accurate and current contact information is provided.
3. Transfer Timeframe
Customers are expected to initiate and complete the transfer process promptly.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customers should begin the transfer process within 14 days of notification.
4. Storage Fees
Firearms not transferred within 14 days of arrival will incur a storage fee of:
$5.00 per day per firearm
Storage fees will continue to accrue until:
The transfer is completed, or
The firearm is deemed abandoned under this policy
The FFL reserves the right to require payment of all outstanding storage fees prior to completing any transfer.
5. Customer Duty to Complete Transfer
The customer is solely responsible for completing the transfer process in a timely manner.
Failure to:
Respond to communications

Arrange for return shipment (if applicable)
may result in the firearm being classified as abandoned.
6. Abandonment of Firearms
A firearm will be deemed abandoned if:
It remains unclaimed for 90 days after arrival, and
The FFL has made reasonable, documented efforts to contact the customer using the provided contact information
“Reasonable efforts” may include multiple attempts via phone, text, and/or email.
7. Disposition of Abandoned Firearms
Upon classification as abandoned property:
The customer irrevocably forfeits any ownership interest in the firearm to the extent permitted by law
The FFL is authorized to take possession of, retain, sell, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the firearm in a lawful manner
The FFL may apply any proceeds from sale toward:
Storage fees
Administrative costs
Transfer and compliance expenses
Any other costs incurred
Any remaining balance, if applicable, may be retained by the FFL unless otherwise required by law.
8. Firearms That Cannot Be Transferred
If a transferee:
Fails a background check
Is denied or delayed indefinitely
Refuses or is unable to complete the transfer
The customer must arrange for lawful disposition of the firearm (e.g., return shipment to sender or transfer to another eligible party) within 30 days.
Storage fees will continue to apply during this time.
Failure to arrange lawful disposition may result in the firearm being deemed abandoned under this policy.
9. Shipping and Return Responsibility
All costs associated with return shipment, re-transfer, or alternative disposition are the responsibility of the customer.
The FFL is not responsible for coordinating returns unless agreed upon in writing.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the FFL shall not be liable for:
Loss of ownership resulting from failure to complete a transfer
Storage-related delays
Disposition of abandoned firearms conducted in accordance with this policy
Errors resulting from inaccurate or outdated customer contact information
11. Right to Refuse Service
